Join us to celebrate America's 250th with a special FREE Birthday Party!
On April 18th the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will hold a party celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday at its downtown headquarters near the White House, offer a new exhibit at the DAR Museum, and hold an evening concert saluting women veterans that will feature the iconic Patti LaBelle at DAR Constitution Hall.
Open to the public and free, the birthday bash from 10am-12:30pm will be great for families and anyone wanting to learn more about America’s history. It will include cupcakes, arts and crafts, and the opportunity to see the new DAR Museum exhibit, Revolution in Their Words. Party guests can also tour the 20+ period rooms in the building.
At the 7pm concert by Patti LaBelle, the work of the Military Women’s Memorial will be spotlighted and proceeds from the concert will support DAR’s grant program for organizations serving homeless and indigent women veterans, Vivian's Outreach to Women (VOW). Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. More information about the entire April 18th epic celebration at www.DAR.org. All events at the DAR Building, 1776 D Street NW Washington, D.C. 20006.
