MLK Shabbat: Visions of Freedom and Justice

MLK Shabbat: Visions of Freedom and Justice

Jan 16, 2026. 7 p.m.

This moving service commemorates the spirit and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. The service, co-led by Rabbi Jenna and Kohenet Harriette Wimms, will feature soul-lifting music from the Covenant Baptist UCC Choir and words of inspiration from Yolanda Savage-Narva, Sixth & I board member and vice president of Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) for the Union for Reform Judaism, along with reflections from interfaith partners and Sixth & I’ers. Stick around after the service for challah and dessert.

This event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation of the Logan Family.
